In the event of a dental emergency, it's important for parents to remain calm and take immediate action. If your child's tooth is broken or knocked out, try to collect and save any broken pieces and keep them in a safe place. If it is a permanent tooth that is knocked out, handle the tooth carefully and, if possible, attempt to place it back in the socket or store it in a cup of cold milk. Do not put a baby tooth back into the socket as this could damage the growing permanent tooth.
